Any fans of steamboat buffet out there? I bet there are many of you who would love hot steamboat soup a bottomless buffet spread of goodies! Or perhaps you’re a fan of the ‘Lok-Lok’ van (mobile steamboat vendor)? If you are, then you should check out Fat One Steamboat (non halal). There are loads of posts out there about this outlet. Well here is my take on one of my favourite buffets. 🙂
Fat One Steamboat is located at Sunway Mentari, at Bandar Sunway which is very near to the popular Sunway Pyramid shopping centre. The place is always packed with patron during dinner peak hours. I was there on a weekday after 9 pm. So the hoards of hungry folks already left. 🙂
Yes you saw it right! There is a ‘Lok Lok’ van parked in the middle of the restaurant which mimics their thriving mobile steamboat business.
A big selection of food for the steamboat… fishball, foo chook, yong tau foo, vegetables etc.
There’s also a section for seafood like prawns, squids, fish and various types of clams.
Another pic of the van. When I was there, the price for the buffet was RM35.80+ for adults and RM18.80+ for kids below 12. Prices may be different now, since there’s GST.
There’s also a section of ready cooked food (for the kids, I guess) like fried honey chicken wings, fried noodles etc.
Next to that, there’s also a barbeque section where you can order taiwan sausages, pork bacon on skewers, pork satay, curry fish balls, etc
Round One of our eating spree! LOL!
Awesome hot steamboat soup with two flavours, original and tom yum! Super Like!
I have been there twice and I really enjoyed it. Even my kids loved it because of the wide selection of food. There’s even a pork ball and misc frozen foods section, an open fridge with pork and chicken ham & bacon and also a fruits and ice cream section! So if you plan to go there for dinner, better be there with an empty stomach! Lol!
